I graduated the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with my B.S.E in Elementary Education and completed my graduate degree in Instructional Technology, M.Ed from the University of Maryland with an induction to the national honor society, Phi Kappa Phi. I have worked in education for 14 years as a Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade teacher in Arkansas, Maryland, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Australia. amd Colorado. While living and working in these areas, I also have traveled extensively, and bring a great appreciation for the many different cultures of our world.
In addition to my classroom duties, I have been very involved in numerous enrichment opportunities for students, curriculum development, and school improvement plans. The future of a dynamic and relevant education is obtained by giving students the opportunity to build meaning, stretch boundaries, and work in collaboration. This is all possible by integrating technology into a project based leaning environment. Teaching is my passion, and I love working with my students and their parents together on our educational journey. |
